We all know that Virtual Reality is incredible to learn new concepts. For the first time ever, developers have the ability to bring people back in history, to let them walk beside giants dinosaurs, but also to help people of all ages learn complex science concepts in a brand new way.
We develop professional VR training solutions for our clients to help them reduce training costs. Contact us if you are interested in using Virtual Reality to train your team/employees faster.
Over the past few months,we published multiple new educational apps on Unimersiv’s Cardboard section. Mobile VR and especially the Google Cardboard is great for educational purposes, it’s cheap, someone with a decent smartphone can experience Virtual Reality for less than $20, and it’s starting to go mainstream (which will motivates developers to publish more and more VR experiences).

Since a lot of content is now available to experience Virtual Reality with your Google Cardboard, we thought that it would be a good idea to create a top 5 of the best educational VR experiences that are available on the Cardboard, here is our list:
1. Titans of Space:
Titans of Space is, in our own opinion, the best educational app available for the Google Cardboard. Even with a really simple VR technology like the Cardboard, Titans of Space manages to convey the awesomeness of our universe in an incredible VR experience. This educational experience is definitely one of the best reasons to get a Google Cardboard
2. Discovery VR:
Discovery VR is a VR adventure that will let you explore our world with 360° dynamic videos. Excellent use of VR to teach about ecology, conservation, adventure and exploration. We all know that the resolution of 360° videos need to be improved for a great virtual reality experience, but Discovery VR is still a must have for educational apps for the Google Cardboard.
3. InMind VR:
InMind VR is a great educational VR game that will take on a journey into the patient’s brains in search of the neurons that cause mental disorder. This experimental project made by Nival is an awesome way to navigate into a human brain in Virtual Reality. This experience might be less educational that other apps in this top 5, it’s still a must for all of you interested in educational VR apps.
4. Mars is a Real Place VR:
Mars is a Real Place is from the developer that brought us Titans of Space. It’s a short slideshow of stereoscopic 3D Martian landscapes that will ket you discover more than 50 high-resolution images hand picked. All of the images are stereoscopic and care has been taken to ensure they are all comfortable to view in 3D.
5. Cardio VR
We are ending this top 5 with Cardio VR, a game that will let you enter a virtual reality doctor’s surgery where you will have to search for your patient’s ailment using x-ray vision.
Update: We recently published some great VR educational apps for the Google Cardboard that you need to try now! The first one is Egyptian Mysteries, an immersive investigation game in the ancient Egypt. Egyptian Mysteries uses the immersive aspect of the Google Cradboard to take you on a trip in the ancient Egypt, a must try. We also published Random 42 that will let you take a visually stunning and scientifically accurate 3D ride inside the human body. Are you ready to walk next to giants red blood cells in virtual reality?
