Arnswalde, (todays Choszczno), is a town in West Pomeranian voivodeship, Poland, granted town rights in 1284. In 1945 Arnswalde was on the front line. Because of the it’s strategic position during the Russian offensive bitter fighting occurred, which resulted in almost 80% damage of the town’s infrastructure. This is a reconstruction of the town at the turn of the twentieth century.
