Take an audio-guided virtual tour inside a most accurate reconstruction of one of the most relevant archaeological sites of Imperial Rome. A wonder lost in time is now alive. Oniride painstakingly reconstructed the Mausoleum of Helena in 3D, as erected by Emperor Constantine between 326 and 330 a.c. to keep the remains of his mother Flavia Iulia Helena Augusta. Based on photographic surveys, photogrammetry and 3D laser scans of the ruins of the Mausoleum, the has been crafted and shaped to show its pristine splendor inside an all-immersive virtual reality experience, using the most advanced 3D graphics technologies currently available. The necessary historical and architectural research has been thoroughly supervised and supported by the Department of Architecture of the University of Rome III as well as by the team of experts who recently conducted the restoration of the ruins of the Mausoleum, located in the district of Torpignattara in Rome.
